Meadow Lodge, Gayton Road, Ashwicken

The project brief was to demolish the existing dwelling and swimming pool and construct a new five-bedroom detached home with an attached garage and workshop plus garage parking for a motorhome. There was also a need to create a new entrance off the B1145.

Throughout the planning process, three applications were made. The first was for a new build, the second was for the extension, and the third & final was for the new build, but the design was very much the same as the extension.

For all three applications, we worked closely with the clients and managed to obtain planning approvals. The project started with a simple renovation but became a splendid new build during construction.

It is a stunning five-bedroom detached dwelling recently constructed to its perfection. The property sits on a large plot, and you are greeted by a vast gravel driveway leading to a home with huge kerb appeal, a triple garage, and a motorhome garage.

A covered porch and a huge entrance hallway welcome you through the impressive ground floor space, with two sitting rooms, a study, TV room, dining room, sunroom, utility room, ironing room, WC, shower for dogs, plant room and the gorgeous kitchen/breakfast room. There are also changing rooms, WC and shower for the swimming pool users. The sunroom, sitting room and dining rooms are flooded with natural light from the huge sliding and bi-folding doors and orangery-style glass roof lanterns. The feeling of space continues upstairs with five double bedrooms with their own en-suites and a spacious snooker room above the garage.
