The client brief was to provide a new classroom, office, additional cloakroom space, porch and external teaching space.

We delivered a single-storey extension to the school, comprising a classroom, office, toilets and lobby area; a new rear entrance; and minor alterations to form new internal and external openings. In addition, we also provided an outdoor teaching area as well as alterations to fencing and gates.

Our design solution fitted the extension well into the school location and surroundings. It assisted in making the building feel part of its setting, giving the impression that it has been part of the school for many years. The external teaching space in the form of the small amphitheatre worked remarkably well with the landscaping.
