The client wanted to redevelop a brownfield site and bring it into use as a commercial/industrial unit. The proposal was developed and designed by another Architectural practice. Calvert Brain & Fraulo Architectural Limited collaborated with the original designer and took over the project from the design stage to administer the contract and support the client and the original designer during the construction process. We also undertook further design changes during the construction process and discharge of planning conditions for the successful completion of the building.

The build was started in September 2018 through site setup and stripping the site ready for the first dig. Piled foundations and concrete beams were installed, ready for the erection of the steel frame and cladding of the unit. The unit was completed in May 2019, and we worked with a local contractor, QS, client, and client representative throughout construction.
