OUTLINE APPLICATIONS
 

An Outline Application for Planning Consent is appropriate where a client of Calvert Brain & Fraulo Architectural Ltd wishes to obtain consent in principle for the erection of a building or buildings, without going to the expense and delay of having detailed designs prepared for the development.

Outline planning permission may only be granted for the erection of buildings and not for change of use. When outline permission is granted, details of the layout, scale, appearance, means of access to the site and landscaping are normally reserved for later approval.

With an application for outline planning permission detailed consideration will always be required on the use and amount of development, even if layout, scale and access are reserved.

Planning permission once granted lasts for three years prior to implementation and in perpetuity there after.
